Gem Necklace Stringing Workshop

Join us for a slow, hands-on morning of making at Studio 23 in Montebello, Newlands.

In this 4-hour workshop, you’ll learn the traditional technique of silk knotting and create your own gemstone beaded necklace from start to finish. Guided step-by-step, you’ll work with a curated selection of natural stones and finish your piece with a solid silver clasp handmade by Nani.

No prior experience is needed — just a willingness to work with your hands and enjoy the process. 

Natural gemstone beads are included, you will be able to preselect your beads before the workshop date. Strings of Emeralds, Aquamarine, Amazonite, Moonstone, Ruby and many more to choose from. Please note that this stringing workshop includes a string of semi precious beads, 2mm-4mm in diameter. A workshop using larger beads will be coming at a later date.

Nani Jewellery Workshops — Terms & Conditions

1. Booking & Payment
Full payment is required to secure your place in the workshop. Bookings are confirmed only once payment has been received. Spaces are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

2. Cancellations & Refunds
If you are unable to attend, please notify us as soon as possible.

• Cancellations made 14 days or more before the workshop are eligible for a full refund or transfer to a future date.
• Cancellations made within 14 days of the workshop are non-refundable.
• You are welcome to send someone in your place if you can no longer attend.

3. Workshop Changes
We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel a workshop due to unforeseen circumstances or low bookings. In this case, participants will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

4. Attendance
Please arrive on time to ensure you get the full experience. Late arrivals may miss important parts of the workshop, and we may not be able to repeat sections.

5. What’s Included
All materials and tools required for the gemstone stringing workshop will be provided. Light refreshments may be provided.

6. Health & Safety
Participants attend workshops at their own risk. While we take care to provide a safe and relaxed environment, we are not liable for any injuries, loss, or damage to personal belongings during the workshop.

7. Photography & Content
We may take photos or short videos during the workshop for social media and marketing purposes. Please let us know in advance if you would prefer not to be included.

8. Age Restrictions
Workshops are suitable for adults and older teens (16+), unless otherwise specified.
